At Mina Road, St Werburghs, we sensitively transformed a derelict shop and abandoned houses into affordable homes for young families. This vibrant development, opposite a park, is enriched by local amenities and features an iconic Upfest mural.
Key Features:
In the bustling heart of St Werburghs, our project at Mina Road involved the comprehensive and sympathetic restoration, renovation, and extension of a derelict shop and two abandoned houses. This ambitious scheme has breathed new life into a forgotten corner, creating vibrant, affordable housing specifically designed for young families seeking a dynamic urban lifestyle.
Situated directly opposite a beautiful tree-lined park and play area, the development offers immediate access to green space and recreation, a crucial amenity for its residents. The location further boasts proximity to popular local shops, diverse restaurants, and charming cafes, fostering a strong sense of community and convenience.
Adding to its unique character, the side elevation of the building proudly features the striking “Sunflowers” mural. This prominent artwork was commissioned as part of Upfest, Europe’s largest urban arts festival, integrating the development into St Werburghs’ renowned artistic and cultural landscape. The Mina Road project stands as a testament to thoughtful urban regeneration, blending historical sensitivity with contemporary family living and artistic expression.
